A Neuromuscular Orthotic was originally designed and used for treating TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome). The Orthotic helps to eliminate the pain associated with TMJ such as;

• Clenching
• Headaches
• Earaches

Patients with jaw problems who were being treated with a Neuromuscular Orthotic were finding an increase in upper body strength. The founder of PPM, Dr Anil Makkar, was seeing incredible results in many of his patients who were being treated for jaw conditions. Patients were finding that wearing the Orthotic not only alleviated pain but increased strength and improved balance. From these findings the PPM was developed.

PPM combines the properties of a mouthguard to absorb the impact from traumatic hits or blows; while being designed at the most optimal position of the jaw.
